New Year's Resolutions for Coffee Lovers

Well, 2022 has come and gone. The year seemed to fly by with quite a few collective highs, and a couple of lows. However overall, it was a good one. But we’re not here to talk about 2022. We’re here to talk about 2023 and the new possibilities it brings with it – especially for us coffee lovers!

As most people do this time of year, we’ve set some New Year’s Resolutions for ourselves – resolutions that are actually possible to keep – and we think will genuinely benefit our lives! So we thought we’d share some of these resolutions with our fellow coffee enthusiasts. Keep reading to see our top coffee themed resolutions of 2023!

1.       Mix things up and try something new! We are all creatures of habit and can get stuck in our normal routines day in and day out. For example, regardless of whatever new coffee shop I decide to pop into and try out, I always seem to order my regular drink - iced latte with a pump of chocolate. Or if I’m feeling adventurous, I like to give a shot of the house's espresso a try. But, it’s nice to mix things up and step out of your comfort zone from time to time and try a new coffee beverage. If you don’t know what you might like apart from your regular go-to, know that most coffee shops will be able to find an alteration to the drink that you prefer, if you just tell them when your usual order is.

2.       Try drinking as much water as you do coffee. People tend to forget that coffee dehydrates your body. But if you start a 1:1 ratio habit (one cup of water for every one cup of coffee), it will help to keep you hydrated and even more focused throughout the day! Plus, if you drink it immediately following your sips of coffee it will help prevent coffee stains on your teeth. A win win!

4.       Start adding mushrooms to your coffee to boost your overall health! 5.       Make time for coffee catch-ups with friends and loved ones! We all lead such busy lives and sometimes a simple one-hour coffee date can really help to revitalize relationships, help you reconnect with people who are important to you, and just make you feel good. Try committing to even just one or two coffee dates a month and watch your relationships flourish!

6.       Brush up on your coffee knowledge. Enjoying a delicious cup of coffee is great (obviously), but are you truly a coffee aficionado if you don’t have some fun facts you can impress others with while you drink it?
